Notes to self

Bloggie friends!

Here is the reason why I must never forget my pad again!

I got inspired while on the train to work but because I didn’t have my notepad with me, I scribbled the beginnings of a story on the back of an invoice and in the back cover of my Join-The-Dots book! LOL!

Now if only I can make sense of my scribbles...

Charlie says: I sleep on the grass and hope it doesn't rain.

Have a very peaceful and calm Tuesday where ever you are!

At least you had paper when inspiration struck. Otherwise you might have had to write up and down your arms and legs.

LOL! I am most inspired for some reason when I do not have a pad! I have written on napkins, receipts, magazine inserts etc.! But as you said, it is hard later on to figure out what the heck you wrote!

Charlie: you have the right idea!

I hate when inspiration comes and I'm nowhere near my notepad. Glad you got it down though.

Good for you. They are always the best stories, the ones you have to write.

Now that looks more exciting than writing in a boring old notepads, doesn't it? Looks very inpsired. Charlie is a clever soul :O)

Hahaha! Charlie, you make me laugh. At least you didn't write on him! Notebooks DO come in handy!

Why do we always get these brilliant globs of insight when we don't have pen and paper? My insights are so brilliant that I can never remember them. Ha

Hey, at least you had *some* kind of paper. :-)

Good luck deciphering your scribbles. My handwriting is terrible now--I print. And even my printing has deteriorated the older I've become.

Have a great Tuesday--I'm hoping for a day with no "eewww" factor. LOL.

We're glad you got inspiration on the train - was it your dotty book that made it come to you in a flash. Mum is worried about you and hopes you are in a safe part of London and don't have to travel near the affected areas. Take extra care.

HA! You had your own version of connect-the-dots!

I wanted to take notes when I heard Alice Hoffman speak, but couldn't find my notebook in my voluminous bag, so I scribbled on my checkbook.

Charlie looks so sweet in the grass.

Have to get those ideas down no matter what.

Tell Charlie I'm envious!

Charlie, we hopes it doesn't rain. It has been pouring here, but right this second it is sunny so we are going outside to enjoy it.

Yeah, I've had to transcribe from some really strange places before, too... You should at LEAST always have a little notebook...

Hey, this sort of scribbling worked for JK Rowling ... maybe it will work for you, too! :)

That's good advice!
Enjoy the summer while you can, Charlie! Have a great week! :)

Been there done that-my inspiration always seems to come when I'm not prepared.

Laila Knight said...

This is funny. I carry around tiny yellow pads in my purse for lack of a real writing pad when inspiration hits. :)

I have done what you did. Yes, a notepad always comes in handy.

I've ended up typing things in my phone, because I know I'll forget my ideas as soon as I get home.

I'm just wondering if you ever get any looks or comments on your book? But kudos to you for working on another story.

Charlie, enjoy the green grass & may the rain stay away for a while. :)

I think that works better to scribble it on a spare piece of paper cause then you will be careful to not lose that piece of paper. I do that all the time. Hope it turns out to be a good story. Take care.

When inspiration strikes and there's a writer and paper around, there's only one option. To write it down. :)

Oh, I've done that before. Scribbled all over bits and pieces, anything I can find. We're SUPPOSED to have some kind of notebook with us at all times!!!

Thanks so much for your kind comment today, for Jen's health and well-being. She thanks you, sends lots of smiley faces, and wishes YOU a good day too, as do I!

And to Charlie: That indeed looks like the perfect place to sleep. And who cares if it rains!

LOL! I've been known to scribble notes on all kinds of tiny pieces of paper floating around in my bag and then I need a magnifying glass to read those scribbles later on.

Charlie is really enjoying the summer weather! He looks very content :)

I do the same thing.. I always write or email myself notes.... Great picture of Charlie!

I've done the same myself.

Charlie looks very peaceful.
