Misread expressions

Bloggie friends!

Now I know I’ve got the sweetest face on this planet bar none (LOL!!!! I’m kidding!!) but really did the guy behind the baker’s stall have to say in all seriousness, “Cheer up love, it may never happen”, to me while I was concentrating very very hard on what pastry to buy off him?

Hmmm.

The above occurred during my lunch break yesterday at work.

Goodness knows what expression I must have worn as I gazed at all these pastries but couldn’t decide on whether to get the pain au raisin with custard filling or the cinnamon swirl. Or both. Ahem.

Charlie says: The lawn needs mowing and I continue my snooze.

Yes, it’s still Silly Summer time! Hooorah!

Charlie
We think you look very content in that beautiful spot in the grass...now we must ask, which pastry did you choose?

I sympathise!! I have one of those faces that is constantly misread. When I concentrate (on pastries or whatever) I look like I am scowling. When I am thinking I look angry. When I am tired, I look depressed. My face is a constant source of frustration to me!! Because yes, people will inevitably say something as they misread my expression. Grrr!

Just what was he trying to insinuate, anyway? Tell Charlie to 'get 'em!'

I find myself trying to read the faces of those I come in contact with. Not sure why I do it.
I'm often wrong.
What kind of pastry did you settle on?

Well, if that's the hardest decision you have to make, it's not worth getting a wrinkle!
heh heh.

So funny! I would liked to see what expression you had as well.

That 'cheer up' thing happens to me all the time.
What a lovely picture of Charlie!

LOL! Tough choice, I hope you went for both. :-)

I've had people comment about my expressions, so I know I'm pretty transparent. I've also had a lot of people smile at me as I pass by, on a sunny day. It's because they think I'm smiling, when in actuality I'm squinting, even wearing sunglasses. Seriously.

But a bakery choice demands intense concentration--and I'd have said so had I been in your shoes. :-D

Ahem - do we think you had both pastries - after all the one left behind would have been lonely on its own. Are you waiting to pounce on your mum's feet Charlie to make her jump?
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

Now THAT is a great pic of Charlie. Maybe he's dreaming of the little mousie he found hiding in the grass and just ate.

I wouldn't pay attention to him. Perhaps he was having a bad day. At least you had your pastry ;)

You are beautiful! You know you are! Now mow that lawn before Charlie disappears.

Mmm ... both of those pastries sound delicious!

That actually is pretty funny. Why is that people want to know what you are thinking. All you were doing to try to decide which flavor you wanted. Oh Well, guess he was just trying to be a friend.
Charlie, we can barely see you in that tall grass.Take care.

LOL! After all that, we hope you bought them BOTH!

Hmmmm...maybe the bakery man was just trying to begin a conversation with you? Was he cute?? :) I would have asked him for a free pastry to help "cheer me up"!

Snap! People often think I'm unhappy when I'm really thinking about something nice. I don't think the fault can be ours.

Cheer up love????? Ugh.... just another reason I prefer cats and dogs to man people.....

What an odd thing to say. Maybe he thought you'd never decide! (I would've chosen the cinnamon swirl.)

What did you choose?

Cute Charlie!
