The Long Weekend

Bloggie friends!

Today sees the start of the August Bank Holiday holiday here in the UK – so I'm going to have a lovely long weekend with a few extra days off too.

What is a Bank Holiday? I have no idea – but all I know is that it means a long weekend and a shorter week. Hooorah!

I’m hoping to perhaps spend my short break trying to reacquaint myself with my narcoleptic writerly muse but I know I’ll take the wrong turn and meet up with my cooking/baking one instead! Yay!

Charlie and I will be back late next week so in the meantime please be happy and healthy and enjoy some chocolate, if not, a nice cup of tea.

Charlie says: I meet my napping muse.

We hope our friends across the pond stay safe and take extra extra special care.

Have a peaceful weekend, everyone!

That's somewhat like Labor Day Weekend in the US, which is next weekend--and my Blog BBQ event :) No one really knows what Labor Day is, except that it's a 4 day weekend to honor American laborers. Heaven knows we all need an extra day off now and then, right??

Aha, I'd never heard of a 'bank holiday weekend', until I moved to lil' ol' England. And 'Bank Holiday'? Seems to me, the banks have been taking a holiday from their responsibilities, for far too long...
Have a great long weekend, eh :)

You enjoy your long weekend! We'll get a little from the hurricane, but nothing compared to what the coast will experience. Definitely need to pray for those folks.

Awww - a narcoleptic muse - that's what mine is, too!!! And I love Charlie's napping muse and I don't mind when the baking muse hits me, either! And THANK YOU SO MUCH for your long wonderful comment on my "taking a risk" post. You are a treasure! Enjoy your bank holiday (and when you come back, tell us what kind of a holiday that is, anyway!)

Oh, how lovely, a mini-vacation! Enjoy whatever you do: writing, cooking, baking...sleeping, shopping...It doesn't matter. You're not at work, that's all that counts.

Big smooches to Charlie, we hope he enjoys some extra "mom" time!

Look at your stretching, napping muse Charlie!

I hope your muse isn't suffering narcolepsy. Perhaps a long siesta. Maybe if you write about a baker, it will be "research".

Enjoy your mysterious bank holiday!

For me a bank holiday means an extra busy day at work - but you go ahead and enjoy your extra day off. Don't worry about me. Sniff.

We think of banker holidays as those days when the banks and government iffices are clised for some obscure holiday.
Glad you have a long weekend.
Have fun.

Long weekend! I'm so jealous. My next long weekend will not be before November... this time around, Melbourne gets pretty 'sorry'- with 5 day weeks- week after week. LOL.

You doing well, Jenn? :)
