A Terrible Truth

Bloggie friends!

I’m a terrible person!

I’m all “Whaddya mean you’ve not read my masterpiece 912 worded story yet, Mr Volunteer Critique-er?!? Why haven’t you dropped everything and done so?! Where are your priorities, man?! So what if you have a wife and child to feed?!”

LOL!!

Oh I’m kidding bloggie friends!!! Of course I never said those things, but by golly, I’m biting the skin off my nails and thinking near enough those things! Terrible, just terrible!

Charlie says: Life is good with the fish at the end of my string.

Friday beckons close by!! Yay!

Of course you're kidding - you are not a terrible person! Just relax. Play with Charlie's fish. Maybe he has the right idea.

It's just normal to feel that way when you're waiting for an answer (just don't utter those thoughts) LOL! ;)

Life would be especially good if the mouse was stuffed with catnip.

And Friday really cannot come fast enough.

*biting lip* I'm guilty. I've had a friend ask me to beta-read her stuff over a month ago and I'm so swamped with everything, too! I haven't made time for her, but she's always haunting my thoughts.

I feel your pain, your anxiety. You just want some feedback, some affirmation!
Love your cat.

Time seems to stand still when you wait for something. Maybe you would like to take Charlie fishing with his little fish pole. :)

I'll put cayenne pepper on your nails if you don't stop biting them! :)

Charlie my friend, you're like a kitten with that toy!

I know exactly what you mean. My friend would call this your waiting time . So I'd take Charlie's advice and play with a fish on a string for a while. :o)

I'm the same - hopping from foot to anxious foot thinking come on, read it - ADORE it! But of course I say nothing... just wear out the send and receieve key on my email. :)

I might have to adopt Charlie's saying!

It is nerve racking waiting for critiques! Charlie will keep you distracted, though.

Waiting to me is one of the hardest things to do. Hope they get back to you soon.
Charlie, that fish on the string looks like a lot of fun. Hope you all have a super day.

Fuzzy Tales said...

It seems so much easier to be a well-loved cat. Or maybe a bird. No nail-biting required, just a present-moment state of being. :-)

I hope the critique is a good one, well done, after keeping you waiting. How dare he and all. LOL.

Jenn - if we could get hold of that mean man who hasn't ready your winning story yet we would put the bitey on him.
Charlie - did you get the fish or did it keep it jumping out of reach?
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

Pleas be kind to your fingertips. You don't want to chew them back to your elbows!

Hart Johnson said...

*giggles* Oh, man--I hear you! But then when it is YOU meant to be critiquing (and by you, I mean me)... yeahno... totally other way around...

Just remember, "Old Kitty", patience is a virtue!

Charlie, I was wondering what you were doing in that photo; sure glad your momma said there was a fish on a string because I wasn't figuring it out.

Bossy Betty said...

Well, of course he should drop everything!

Wish I had a fish at the end of my string!

notesfromnadir said...

I know you're really a very patient person & you've forgotten all about sending your story in. Right?!

Looks like Charlie's GONE FISHIN'! :)

Happy fishing Charlie!

Looks like Charlie is already to hook something.

Maybe Charlie could put the bitey on them...heehee!

Golden Eagle said...

I don't blame you! I would be wondering (demanding, in my head) what was happening, too.

The waiting is hard and Charlie looks adorable.

Oh my goodness! This has to be the funniest photo of Charlie that I've ever seen!

The best of luck with your story, Jen! Keep on writing ..you have a gift!

I feel your pain. Last weekend, I had my manuscript out with two buddies. It was eerily silent all weekend. I thought. I. would. die.

Charlie doesn't seem to fazed though.

Tracy said...

nah, you are not a terrible person, just an impatient one...and that's okay; go play with Charlie and take it easy! CAts have a way of letting us unwind!
