Bloggie friends!
Thank you all so much for your input to my conundrum! You are all shining beautiful stars!
I shall be very brave and stick to my little story - it feels complete. Yay! Now off it goes to my reliable critique-ers! Yikes.
Yesterday, I said goodbye to my 12 year old “rude cactus” when I came home to find this:
I called the cactus rude because it grew into what looked like two fingers making a V shape. Ahem.
Charlie says: I am innocent of all cacti massacre and show you my back of disrespect.
It’s the 1st of June! Wow!

My son loves cats and dogs. He does not have any cats in his house right now (his wife is expecting their third baby) and I know that animals are great friends!
Charlie didn't do that, did he?
I'm sure it wasn't you, darling!
Hahahahh! So sorry about the cacti but is very funny this situation!
Charlie: I know you´re innocent!!!
Hi Jennifer & Charlie,
LOL! Can't help but laugh because this looks like Charlie's work ;) hmmmm I guess Charlie agreed with you: rude cactus!
I'm sure Charlie had nothing to do with it... nothing.
Sorry you lost your rude cactus! But you just can't go through life being impudent. ;)
I love that you had a cactus massacre... I killed the one I have in my office. I didn't even know it was possible....
That must have been a very picky cacti attack! Hope you are OK Charlie. Glad Mom sent her story as is.

I can't believe June came so quickly.
Ohhh, I kind of feel bad for the cacti.
Time to invest in a smutty-looking "willy 'n' balls" carrot.
Charlie is so cute when he's trying not to look guilty...
Can't be Charlie ! I confirmed !!!!
Cactus is too dangerous for him to touch !
Yeahhhhh!!! Charlie your back says it all!
Congrats on sending off your piece. I guess your cactus was exhausted by its own rudeness.LOL!
Oh Charlie, what a lovely back you have. My Comfrey used to show us his back and then sigh heavily. He really shold have been on the stage! ;O)
Poor Charlie, having a cactus throw itself to the ground while he's in the house!
That amused me, especially Charlie's back of disrespect.
I always had a sneaking fondness for Esther Rantzen's rude vegetables.
can't you just re-pot them?
I know prickly pair cactus grows from any part that falls on the ground.
(a real weed down here)
I'll always wonder how Charlie managed it.
Oh well it wasn't very pretty. RIP cactus. We know Charlie that you had nothing to do with it and if you did, it was time. Take care all of you.
Goodness did that cactus jump out the pot on its own. Of course if there was a paw involved we know it couldn't possible be Charlie's -we just know he's innocent.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Check Charlie for cacti thorns. LOL.
I've never had any luck with them. You'd think you wouldn't be able to kill cacti, but yes, yes you can.
We guess it was just the cactus time to leave y'all.
And we're sure sweet Charlie had nothing to do with it's collapse.
If you stick what's left of it back into fresh soil, it should root again and grow.
We send lotz and lotza love your way.
he killed the cactus? LOL. Too funny. Maybe Charlie had had enough of his rudeness.
Oops! Looks like the candle suffered a bit too!
June already!
Fair well rude cactus! (great name for a story)
That poor plant just gave up completely!!! Hey Charlie, it's okay, you can go back inside now!
Goodness, that cactus looks very phallic! :)
Happy June first!
Naughty Charlie! Pretty dang cute, though. :-)
The Cactus was green so I applaud Charlie.
Wow, all I can say is OUCH! But cacti will grow the way they wanna grow!
Charlie is so cute and so innocent! ;) Bye-bye cacti...
Oh Charlie, you crack me up! Cactus killer! My kitty has killed a few houseplants too ;)
Oh no, we've had the Mysterious Plant Damage before too. No one ever confesses. . .
Thatdestroyed cactus must have been an "ouchy" for Charlie!
