Bloggie friends!
Of course we all know what a little extra effort and a lot of tender loving care can do to the most unpromising of situations!
Take these heartsease - all of these were "rescued" from the same hardware shop where I got my hanging basket flowers. They started off as 6 plug plants all wilting and in dry compost. With a pot each and fresh compost and daily watering, they've blossomed.
Never lose hope, bloggie friends! With love and support, you can do it!!
Charlie says: Someone's bed needs tidying.
Have a great weekend!

Have a great weekend too!!!
I have a poor hand with gardening, but I've actually made things grow.
Tell Charlie that there's no use tidying the bed because he'll untidy it soon after.
oh, pretty purple flowers!
What a tender, sweet picture and post. You turned something that was hopeless into something "beautiful."
Love and peace...XO
A bed with a kitty in it cannot be less than purrfect!
looks like you have a green thumb. Every plant I bring home dies. lol!
You must have given those plants a lot of TLC.
Charlie too, from the looks of him!
Hi Old Kitty
Lurvely flowers ... didn't know they were called Heartsease but they've evidently found some now, at their caring and nurturing new home:-)
You have a great weekend, too - thanks for your visit to me - the magazine was Womans Weekly, btw. Forgot to say, in all my excitement!
All best
Karla
Psst... Charlie... you should tip toe thru those flowers.
It's the watering thing that I forget! Those are lovely.
Friday...yay!
The flowers and the words both are beautiful. Lovely post!
Happy Friday, we hope you both enjoy the weekend!
Charlie - mum says bother making the bed tidy when there's a lovely white tummy waiting for a snorgle -watch out she's on her way!
Well done for rescuing the plants they are looking good.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
You could get Charlie to iron your clothes and towels this way.
awe, thanks old kitty. Love the message (and the flowers are gorgeous!)
Oh, those are pretty!
What a lovely flower -- & name! How wonderful that you rescued them.
Charlie, you can always tidy the bed yourself...right?
Bless Charlie, he looks soooo cute!
I love those basket flowers, blooming lovely. You have a way with rescuing. (Can you rescue me? I love that song it always makes me smile especially from Sister Act). :O)
Those sure are pretty flowers. Good job getting those going again. Charlie, are you sure that bed needs some tidying?? Hope you have a super Friday. Take care.

What a great reminder, Old Kitty, and you're so right. Don't lose hope -- ever. Yay for hope! Yay for Charlie! Yay for YOU!
Have a fab weekend.
Glad you rescued them! They would've died further in our garden.
They are beautiful! You have a green thumb!
It looks like Charlie wants a tummy rub. :)
Have a wonderful weekend!
It's amazing how much resilience can emerge under the right circumstances. :)
Beautiful flowers!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Oh those are pretty flowers - it is great you were able to rescue them and nurse them back to health!
And hi Charlie - that is what our mom's bed looks like all the time (she says why bother making the bed when she is just going to mess it up again anyway!)
Oh I love Pansies--I just finished planting a bunch. Yay for rescuing plants & giving them some TLC! :)
Angela @ The Bookshelf Muse
The first time I heard of "heartsease" was in Little Women. They are pansies, right?
Beautiful pict!
love the colors of those gorgeous flowers!!
They thrived due to your loving hands and loving ways...
Charlie looks soooo relaxed, I love it!
I'm impressed! You need to come and plant my flower garden. Seriously, it would be a mercy for anything I planted :))
Tell Charlie an unmade bed is much more comfortable!
Beautiful flowers, and message, Miss Jenn!
Hi, Jenn. I did goof up with the link to Denise Covey (L'Aussie's) story. You're the only commenter who caught it! You're awesome. You really do read people's posts.
I think I was a pumpkin yesterday. I now posted a brief post with the link. THANK YOU.
BTW, did you ever get your book? I think a few people who pre-ordered through Amazon didn't get theirs yet. I wish the publisher hadn't put it up there until things were in place. Sigh. Anyway, I'm sending you an email with a "proposition."
Lovely flowers! We love YOU. Ann & Jen
Most things blossom and grow and bring pleasure into your life if you nurture and care for them – so Mrs S tells me….
All the best, Boonie
What beautiful pansies-they are always smiling just like Charlie. Give him a good scratch from us.
They look so beautiful. So does Charlie.
Beautiful flowers! I can;t grow anything I tend to kill them- as a matter of fact it is believed in my family that I have a "Black thumb" when it comes to any kind of plant or garden.
lol... charlie, always spot on! :O
Lovely flowers - and a lovely sentiment.
The flowers are gorgeous and so is Charlie. Enjoy them both!
Gosh, that is so true; it's amazing what can occur when we have hope!
I hope I win the lottery, I hope I win the lottery; did it work?
:)I'll keep hoping!
Amazing what some tender loving care can do!
Charlie - hurry up and make that bed!
Ellie Garratt
Charlie doesn't look too concerned about the bed. In fact, he's comforter camo.
You have a way with plants and flowers. Where you see hope, I cause death and destruction. Not on purpose, of course.
I agree ...
Look at Charlie too! heheeh, happy and such a darling!
All thanks to your loving care.
