Appeals, auction, animals!

Bloggie pals!

Gorgeous Catdownunder has alerted me to this fabulous global auction  "Authors for the Philippines" where you may bid for online writing courses, mentoring, signed copies of books, critiques from literary agents etc etc!

All proceeds to go to the British Red Cross to help those affected by typhoon Haiyan.

Hurry, the auction ends on the 20th November!

There is also of course the Humane Society International  for the poor animals affected too.

Charlie says: I bid successfully for this chair.

Have a lovely week y'all!

That auction sounds like a pretty neat idea. People are more willing to give money when they're getting something in return. Which sounds kinda strange but it's true.

Thanks for letting us know about the auction. It sounds like a great way to raise money for all those poor people who are suffering.

My heart goes out to the people of the Philippines. I donated to the International Red Cross--hope they get aid quickly! I will also check out the link you provided--thanks!

My kitty loves my desk chair too! But sometimes sharing it with her while I work on my computer takes some negotiating. Usually she lets me if she can sit in my lap and get petted.

These are two great links for helping out in the Philippines.

Fingers and paws crossed for lots of donations. We donated via the Canadian Red Cross--our government is matching donations made to bona fide registered charities until early December. (Usually does, for disaster relief.)
