Keep Calm and Write a Halloween Haiku!

Bloggie pals!!

We here in the south of the UK are on "amber alert" weather wise! There  are dire predictions of a really really REALLY bad storm on its way tonight and tomorrow. Yikes!

So while me and Charlie and the Gumster hunker down, why not celebrate Halloween by writing a suitably creepy haiku and a chance of a £20 (or equivalent - so open to all) prize?

Just leave your  halloween haiku here. I've got my one there already! Good luck!

Gumtree says: I stay in my basket until the bad weather goes away!

Please please be safe, y'all!

My attempts at haiku would end in disaster. Stay safe!

Oof I hope the weather isn't too bad. I heard you guys had some warnings. Gummy sure does look quite content in the basket there. Good luck with both the weather and the competition.

Gumtree has the right idea of how to ride out the storm. So cute! I hope you guys will be safe and everyone else too. I also hope your haiku wins the prize!

Nothing like bad weather, I'm glad my dog has never been afraid of thunder.

YOU stay safe, Kitty dear plus Charlie and Gumtree. I read about this St. Jude storm (patron saint of desperate causes) and will be sending good thoughts to you and others.

Hi Old Kitty - the storm is battering around .. I'm in a sheltered position and only rent (thankfully on days like this!) .. the place has had a tree down - if it was the other one - it'd have hit my car ... so I'd better get myself out and move it anon. I didn't hear the tree fall in the night!!!

Hope you Gumtree and Charlie stay safe ... cheers Hilary

Thanks for the tip. How did the storm go? I expected to wake up to find the house had been blown to Oz, but it was all strangely calm. Perhaps it's the eye of the storm...

I saw the warnings this morning on our news. If you're in a low-lying area, I hope you have an evacuation bag handy! Fingers (and paws) crossed you all remain safe.

Good luck with your haiku, Old Kitty.

And you and your young 'uns stay safe and dry.

Gumtree's got the right idea; any more room in the basket for you and Charlie?

A storm? What a bummer. I hope it passes by uneventfully.

We hope the storm has flown away now Jenn - we were worried about you and also Flynn in Devon. We had very strong winds and noisy rain but we had nowhere near as much rain as in the South. Here's hoping it didn't upset Charlie and Gumtree.
