Charlie says:
The whole row of houses is my home
The surrounding gardens and fields are where I roam
I give my human many heart attacks
As I disappear and pretend to never come back(s)!
I am
a free
spirit!
pics taken 8/09/12 at 5.45pm after he went missing for 24 hours! So please forgive me if I have a long lie down now!
Old-er and grey-er haired Kitty!

Naughty Charlie!
Oh, Charlie, that was NOT nice. And you with no teeth; however did you eat for those hours?!
Nicki might sing the same song, Don't Fence Me In, but this human is all for fences. LOL.
Awww he looks adorable as always. My cat seems to have taken to stopping by other peoples back yards. I'm glad he always comes back home though.
Oh now Charlie, you know better than to wander off like that and worry Mum!
Charlie, don't do that to Kitty!!!!
Oh Charlie, we're just like you! We prefer the outdoors where all the action is.
Glad you found him again! Those 24+ hours must have been nerve-racking.
It's good Charlie is back safe. I hate when my girlfriend's cat runs away. He doesn't go far but he'll be gone for awhile.
Charlie surely knows how to enjoy!
Charlie! Oh sweetheart, please don't give heart attack to your human like that! Glad you came back :-) Long time ago, back in my home town in Japan, my kitties could go outside any time they wanted. One stormy night, one of them was missing. I went outside and looked and looked, but couldn't find her. Later I found her chilling in the closet. She was like, "what's wrong?" I can't forget how I was releaved.... :-)
Enjoy grass and sun, Charlie. Have fun outside, but make sure you come back home :-)
Oh, I'm so glad he came back. It would scare me to death if my dog ran off.
Don't skeer your family Charlie, it's not good to go on walkabouts. We're glad you're home. xoxo
Oh Charlie, don't frighten your mom like that. I think you need to be supervised on your visits outdoors!
Glad to know he made it home safe and sound. Take care.
Charlie, you must always go home where love, warmth and cuddles are waiting. Purrs!
Beautiful pictures! We understand, Old Kitty. That kind of thing would age us, too!
((((((((Charlie))))))))♥♥♥
You look exceptionally cute rolling all over like that!!!
Where had you gone? Don't give your Mommy a heart attack, you naughty boy!!!
He looks pretty unfazed after his little escapade. :P
Oh Charlie! That was not nice to give your poor human such a scare! We're so glad you are HOME. Whew.
24 hours? I would have been in a panic too! I would have been out scouring the neighborhood and calling animal shelters. I bet after all that time Charlie just walked back into his home like nothing was wrong.
Sigh. Cats.
ohmyCAT, this post has such a wonderful free energy!YOU lucky friend! Glad that you enjoy the beautiful sunny day there and thanks for sharing your pictures!
purrs and love
LUNA - WE LOVE LUNA
( mammy Léia is sending hugs to you all )
Oh Charlie, you have to stop worrying your mum like that - must have been a very long 24 hours! xx
LOL! Oh, he looks pooped. :-)
oh Charlie... while you might have had the time of your life, you need to take pity on that human of yours... we worry you know!
Hi Old Kitty - gosh I can imagine your distress ... bad Charlie - he must know his mistress gets distressed when her nearest and dearest isn't around ... Charlie can I whisper in your ear "Please don't leave Old Kitty again for that long - it's not fair on her heart" ...
Cheers to you both .. I hate being fenced in too?! Hilary
aw. Glad he came back! He is a free spirit! I hate it when my cat grizzli dissapears for a whole day. I end up walking around the neighborhood calling for him. Yesterday, though, he left a huge dead rat smack dab in the middle of our yard. So at least I know what's been keeping him busy:)
Mum knows how you feel Jenn - we don't stray very far but some of her "before cats" were great wanderers like Charlie is. He doesn't look upset though - maybe he found himself a pretty lady cat!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Charlie...you better start stickin closer to home, buddy! Me no want to hears bout Mom havin a hearty attack! You gots to take cares of her!
(It is nice to see da world tho) BOL
PawHugs,
Amber
My cat disappeared for three days once right at Halloween time after we'd moved into a new house. He was all black, so I was so worried about him, but eventually he wandered back just fine! I'm glad Charlie made it home just fine, too!
Oh my gosh, don't disappear like that Charlie! Wow, we are sure glad he's home safe.
Funny how much we panic when our cats go missing. I do it all the time.
Did you ever get your new neighbors and are they nice? Do they like Charlie?
Oh, yikes! So glad he returned. My cat used to go off for jaunts as well, and it nearly gave me a heart attack each time.
Yeah, cats can be like that. And if free spirit means taking a nap, pencil me in!
So glad you found him! Phew!
Ah bless! So glad he came back. I know exactly how that feels. Hugs x
Awwww, I LOVE these!!! Charlie, you are freaking adorable!! :)
Yikes! Glad he's okay. Have some tea to recover.
Oy, the independence of cats! (children on my end, but definitely gives cause for a lie-down!)
Glad he's back safe. :D
Oh, we would be scared, too. So glad to know the lost is found. I don't suppose he told you where he'd been.
He sure does look like he's enjoying himself there.
Charlie, ican only imagine the scare you gave your momma. Glad you are back home.
Charlie, you´re so cute!!! Enjoy the grass and sun!
They're testing our love when they do that! Little do they know we only have one life and they've just shortened it.
Tsk. Tsk. Charlie.
He certainly is a free spirit! Bless him.
Oh dear Old Kitty
We can only imagine the horror of those 24 hrs. Dear Charlie you must not do that...it scares us all. Too. much!
Thank you so much for your kind thoughts during my brief set back.

he's a free spirit all right! glad he's home safe and sound, esp with all he's been through lately:)
Charlie, how dare you give Old Kitty a scare!
It isn't fair.
She has snuggles, treats, and comfort to share!
How can you stay mad at such a cute stretchy guy!
Poor you!
He was just asserting his dominance!
Isn't he enjoying that sun?
Looking cute and adorable is not going to get you off the hook for scaring Old Kitty...okay, maybe it will:)
Tom
Um, so what would happen if I rub his tummy? He looks like he's begging for a tummy rub. :D
Oh Charlie how wicked to tease your mummy this way!
oh my gosh!!! That must've been so stressful.. and soooo wonderful when he returned.
My cat did that once. Scared me silly!!
Oh, our animals do put us through it, don't they! Relieved that Charlie came back safely.
Years ago I had cats disappear and come back. It always gave me a scare.
He does look like a free spirit.
Yikes Charlie, That would have been horrible, but it sure is pretty out their!
xxoo
Deborah
YAY for happy Charlie ruling the neighborhood! He looks so content in the sun!
LOL! Those pictures are fantastic! He looks very proud of himself for scaring you to death. And isn't he the toothless wonder now??? Silly boy!
Scratches to Charlie! <3
Charlie!!! you give our bean a heart attack!!!
He looks very comfy!
Hey there Charlie,
I'm glad to see.
You pawed a bit of poetry...
Nice to see you did return
A bit of a lesson
You surely learn!
Pawsitive wishes and doggy kisses, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet star! xx
I can relate to your worries because Henry, my tabby, has done the same thing several times! It was heart wrenching, exhausting, frustrating, and worrisome! One time he was gone for 6 days and I tried everything to find him. Finally, I found him under a bush in my yard! I'm glad Charlie decided to come home! What a relief!
Glorious photos but oh, my word you must have been so worried. Rufus does that to us from time to time but I never thought Charlie would try it!
Tsk, tsk. Not very nice of you to give them a scare like that! Oh well, keeps 'em on their toes, I say!!
Those are awesome pics!!! :)
You won't get fenced in if you don't give your peeps scares like that!! Keep close sweet boy.
Glad he's back safe.
My mummy doesn't let me go out. She says it's very dangerous in our area and there are many people that don't like cats.
Oh no 24 hours? You must've been so worried. Good to see he's not too traumatized. lol
So sorry you couldn't find Charlie! Glad he is back home with you again. Love the pics of him hamming it up for the camera. He's such a superstar!
Hugs,
~Jamie
Bad Charlie. You should not do that. Our Mom knows just how your Mom feels. Some of us disappear for days. Gertrude was just gone for 2 days and just came home this afternoon. It is not fun. These kitties sure like to worry us. Take care.
Charlie I beg you. Just because you are allowed out, please please please don't do that. You are older now and there was the tooth operation..you would be helpless darling. Please..stay home. One really CAN get used to being in or at least an enclosure outside where you can enjoy the put of doors yet not get into danger or attacked by other animals. Please Charlie.
OMGoodness! I would be terrified! I'm so glad Charlie came home.
We would not like not knowing where Charlie is either!
All God's creatures have to get out of their comfort zones and explore. But I agree, your 20 something kids and pets give us gray hair and wrinkles when they go missing.
Wow, I'm so glad he came back and now you can have some peace. I can't imagine how frantic you were. Why do our animals do this to us? Scream!
What a stress on you! No fun when pets go missing. Take a nap--you (and Charlie) might need one. :o)
<3
Old Kitty and Charlie, thank you for your condolences for Olivia. We appreciate your kind words during this sad time in our life.
William, Caroline, Russell, Gracie, and our mom.
Oh boy, does Charlie look like he's in cat Heaven or what! My black cat, Jasper, used to take off for days, even weeks at a time and never once did he call to let me know where he was! Glad Charlie came home :)
So glad Charlie is back. Not cool, Charlie. =) *hugs*
I totally understand the heart attack. Still, good Charlie needs to mingle too, right?
Charlie, not cool!!
(from behind the corner: "Psst, Charlie, you're cool, man!! Gimme five!")
Oh Charlie you are a rascal! I am so glad you came home to your mum.
Ooh, look at that stretch! So gorgeous :-)
Charlie!! You were missing!!?? OMC I am so sorry I didn't know that! thank goodness you are home! xoxoxo
THAT is one happy at. :)
