My secret book on the side

Bloggie friends!

I have a confession!

One of the most common question asked around blogosphere is “what are you reading now”?

I’m ashamed to say that while I continue to plough through the sci-fi anthology I’ve been reading for nearly two years – ahem – I also have a secret book going on the side.

The book is about the only thing keeping me awake during my long commutes to and from work. Yet I’m so embarrassed I cover the book up behind my freebie newspaper whenever I want to have a glance!

But as I know you’re all very understanding bloggie friends, I thought I’d come clean and share with you my little secret.

Here’s The Book.

Please don’t judge me!

Charlie says: I have my own dot.

It's nearly the weekend, bloggie friends! Huzzah!

I used to love join the dot books, and also magic painting where you just put water on and colours appear. x

Do you hide it in a magazine when you commute? And, no, no judging! Anything that makes you happy!

I knew it!

We all have our secret reads. I love Tin Tin comics.

Hi, Charlie!

That looks fun! Plus there's a moose on the cover, which makes it extra special! :-)

I used to colour in colouring books, even into my 20s. It was a stress-reliever. That and doing puzzles. Haven't done either for a very, very long time, though.

Well, I love reading paranormal romance (think JR Ward, Lara Adrian), so that's my secret, guilty reading pleasure. Not so secret now! :-)

For some reason, Science Fiction anthologies take me a long time, too. And I even write SF!

It looks like a fun book! :)

That's a GREAT idea! I used to do word search puzzles but I can see how this can be even more fun & relaxing.

Charlie, you have a very nice dot! :)

Excellent! LOL! Great secret. I do wordsearch as my secret book on the side.

I wonder whether Charlie will find another dot to go with the first? :O)

LOL, we were thinking of a less, um, clean kind of book. We think it's ok to have fun once in a while. Every now and then, our person will color in a coloring book.

Hart Johnson said...

*giggles* too funny. I wonder if charlie would like up with a lot of other dotted cats to create a life sized dot-to-dot.

Bossy Betty said...

We all need to connect the dots from time to time!

Michael Di Gesu said...

Why should you care what other people think. This reminds me about all the stories I heard about adults riding on the commuter trains to London covering up their Harry Potter books with newspapers.

Finally the books were released with adult covers....

Enjoy whatever you like to read without judgements from others.

That is AWESOME! Our mom's mom had a coloring book she would use to relax (our mom needs one of those we think!) And our mom loves to read the Pearls Before Swine comic treasuries.

And Charlie we love your dot best of all!!

Theresa Milstein said...

Ha! How's the book coming along? I'm sure it's slow-going with the small numbers and trying to hide the book.

Deborah said...

OK, I can't beat that one!

Ahh, but it's probably very relaxing. And we need more of that in our lives.

Charlie has a perfect dot! He agrees. I'm sure he's into relaxing!
