Mess of Eton

Bloggie friends!!

You are all so wonderful that I made a big batch of Eton Mess in your honour!

Eton Mess – mash up some strawberries with a dash of sugar, a drop of liqueur, mix with crumbled up meringue and add a good dollop of low fat soya single cream alternative.

H-E-A-V-E-N in a bowl.

Charlie says: I give you more evil eye.

Today the lovely Ann Best launches her memoir In the Mirror. I’ve ordered my PRINT copy and look forward to receiving it. Yay!

Have a peaceful day!

Eton Mess is my absolute favourite pud! Thank you, Kitty.

Forget all the other ingredients, meringue is quite healthy as deserts go, so I shall eat it with virtual unadulterated pleasure.

And how can Charlie give us the evil eye when his eyes are closed?

That Eton Mess sounds delicious but we're afraid our mum eats them as fast as she washes them so they wouldn't make much "mess"!!
Hello Charlie we hope you have a good day.

I do wish I was there to eat it with you (and Charlie, is he having some too?) - Leo says he thinks he'd like it, he's fairly obsessed with food. xx

Eton Mess -- what a funny name! Sounds really good. However, I have a decadent suggestion: Double Devon Cream.

By the way, I discovered there is a difference between clotted cream & Double Devon Cream! Here's the link if you or anyone's interested:

Jan was drooling, right up until you mentioned low fat soya single cream alternative. We don't know what that is but a big dollop of whipped cream is what we were expecting. :)

Well, I imagine Charlie's giving you that evil eye 'cause you didn't give him any of the mess stuff!

Sounds delicious.

How nice of you to order Ann's book. I looked for it on Amazon US today, but it wasn't there.

Today is the official launch of the 100 Stories for Queensland paperback. Jodi Cleghorn sent updates on Facebook until 2am Australian time. In both US and UK, we made great progress on rankings. You should check out Amazon!
