Urges

Sometimes, bloggie friends, you just have to give in to your urges!

Mine came at 11pm yesterday.

And here it is all ready to eat at 5 minutes past midnight!

Yep, I had the urge to bake me a banana cake with dried fruit before bedtime!

Charlie says: I had the urge to sleep in my box with my toys.

Cheers everyone!

I love Banana bread, esp if it's still warm.

Charlie looks pleased.

I had the urge to make chocolate chip cookies and eat the dough...and I did. But not very much. I did keep it in moderation.

Oh my, I'll bet it smells soooooo good too! Wake up Charlie, you're missing it!

Charlie looks like a snug bug in a rug. Maybe he snuck a big piece of your fruit bread before turning in for the night.

Oh! You are so cruel!!!! I ADORE any sort of banana bread/cake. YUM! Hey, it was totally worth it, right?!!

At least you didn't feel the need to play with Charlie's nippy mouse!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw your post title LOL! That cake looks really good, yummy. I've made banana cake before but not put dried fruit in it. I bet it tastes something like Christmas fruitcake? Which I love! Must try this!

You only live once! Whats a banana cake between friends.

I've done this so many times. I always keep a box mix of streusel cake in the pantry just so I can whip one together when I get the urge (usually late at night!) That banana cake looks yummy!

did you turn into a gremlin and scare Charlie because you ate after midnight? hehe

I come up with all sorts of yummy and fattening things to eat in the wee hours of the night - to reward me for staying up late to write, of course!!!! I love to make shortbread, cheese biscuits, frosting. Yup. Don't even need the cake or the cookies to frost.

At least banana bread with dried fruit is somewhat healthy!

How did it come out?

I can't eat that close to bedtime or I get a stomachache and have whacky dreams.

Hope you're having a great Tuesday!

Hit the "comment" button before I mentioned how adorable Charlie is snuggled in that box.

ooowww... My favorite. You are the baker. I never bake. I'm terrible at it. Wish I was your neighbor.

That is such an adorable box for Charlie and he loves it.

That banana bread looks so good! Did you add raisins? Do you add walnuts?

I wonder how many toys Charlie has stashed away in there?! :)

Creepy Query Girl said...

lol, well sometimes its best to just let your urges take hold. Other times, not so much. LIke when I decided after a couple rum n cokes that it was early enough to color and cut my own hair...

If I had an urge for something to eat I wouldn't be as fancy as you were; I would just make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich instead. I am not a cook by any stretch of the imagination but good for you to bake something delicious right when you needed it!

YUM! That cake looks fantastic. And I'm giggling at Charlie. Snoozie~ :D <3

That happens to all of us, so feel no shame. Eat the bread, feel the warmth, and guilt can be ignored.
