Great book and film. Shame about the musical.

Did you know that in 2008, I went to see Lord of the Rings – THE MUSICAL?

Here is the proof!

It’s amazing what one discovers stashed in the pockets of one's handbag!

Charlie says: Must run to next door quick before they leave!

Thank you all for your get well wishes!! You are all beautiful colours of the rainbow! I'm so back on my feet like nothing's happened!!

Woo-hoo! Have great weekend!!!!

hmmmm how could they possibly make a musical out of Lord of the Rings?

Hmm, I can't say that a musical version of Lord of the Rings would appeal to me. By the title of your post, I take it you were less than impressed.

I'm glad you're feeling better and hope you and Charlie have a wonder-full weekend!

Haha, I loved the title of this post. And I had to click on and see what musical. LOL, so cool you kept the ticket! If nothing else, it made for an interesting blog post!

Kitty,
I hope you are on the mend and Charlie is taking such good care of you. I'm certain you have a cuddle friend while resting :)

sounds awful. I don't think I could have take Gandalf seriously if he sang, or - god forbid - danced.

Your title made me giggle. I guess I'm not surprised, though! Not eveyrthing (not much) translates well to a musical... though I do love a well-done one.

Have a great weekend yourself.

Mum laughed about your old ticket and said she often finds old shopping lists in her bags as well as receipts - well actually it's a wonder the kitchen sink isn't in there too as she is very naughty about clearing them out. We are glad you are feeling fine again and know Charlie will be relieved as he will be excused cooking and washing up duties today!!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

LoL--2008? That's funny! Maybe I should dig around through my handbags and see what I find?

Have a great weekend.

Really? A musical? I'm amazed at the imagination people have. I never would have thought that. Maybe one day the Spiderman musical will get under way. Have a great weekend.

*snickersnort* I take it it was a poor interpretation? Too funny.

I had no idea they made a musical of The Lord of the Rings--it's too bad it didn't live up to the books and movies!

Hope you have a great weekend! :)

I wonder what song the Nine Riders would sing...I bet it would be great as a spoof or comedy musical.

Sorry I missed the musical version (always been a bit overawed by the magnitude of the book and films!)
Your handbag sounds a bit like mine :-)

I THINK I've already commented on this post, but I'm not 100% sure.. so I'll comment again (or for the first time). I love digging into the bottom of my handbag because I always find old treasures, old memories of places I've been :)

How'd I miss Charlie sprinting off next door? So glad you've recovered from that nasty shot. Have a perfect weekend and see you on Monday.

I have believability issues with musicals. Something like Lord of the Rings doesn't seem like it would translate well to musical theatre.

I'm glad you're feeling better.

Kitty,
do you think Charlie could be a Ninja Kitty such as the one on Becky's site? I'm thinking that Angel-Kitty might be able to be trained!
I actually have never read Lord of the Rings!

I'd forgotten about that musical. It was completely trying to bleed off the success of the films.

These days it's the Spider-Man musical that's become a train wreck of legendary proportions.
