There’s Beaker! And The Eagle! And the two old men whose names escape me!! And Kermit and my Ultimate Idol!! Gorgeous Miss Piggy!

Nay to the remake of Footloose. Nay, Nay and thrice Nay!! The Footloose film of 1984 is a classic and strangely of its time too and there it should remain. Good grief!

I agree with you. Leave well enough alone. Tell Charlie to cast that evil eye on those responsible for the Footloose remake.

I SAY YAY to you all day long!

I agree with you! Why do we need another Footloose when the 1st was fine as is? And as far as I'm concerned the Muppets are incredibly adorable and they can do whatever they want! I'll always love them!

Nay for sure to remake footloose! Have a fairy fantastic day!

Oh Charlie, you certainly know how to live life; so relaxing on your mom's bed!
What?! Footloose, a classic in 1984! Didn't seem too long ago. Oh dear, how time flies!
Have a great weekend.

Loved Sesame Street AND The Muppet Show.

I agree - Footloose is beyond remaking. It's a classic. Are they going to make Casablanca next? Who can improve on a boy fighting for his right to dance?

aww I love Beaker :o)

ACK! I couldn't stomach the first footloose. I too give you my other eye...

I wholeheartedly agree with both your Yay and your Nay.

I love Beaker! And Fridays! And Kevin Bacon's Footloose.

We love muppets and Footloose! Yay!

Thanks for dropping by and your words of comfort. Au ate a little so we're hopeful. If only he'll keep eating, he should be OK.

I'm with you on the Footloose remake. It kinda belongs in the 80s. It was great for its time.

Yay for Friday! Have a happy weekend!

Are the two old guys Statler and Waldorf? I adore The Muppets!

I'll give Footloose a miss - 1984 was a Cyndi Lauper and Madonna in her Desperatley Seeking Susan guise for me!

Charlie - are we getting a sleepy head pose for Friday - bet you are winding down for the weekend. Jenn will be home soon and she'll be sad she hasn't got to work tomorrow!!

Being eons away from the Muppets, original or otherwise, I go along with the original. It's always the best. Or maybe I'll just take a nap on a nice soft comforter with Charlie.
Love and Peace.

Hart Johnson said...

I think I'm with you on both of those!

I also say noooooo to the remake of Footloose. That was my favorite movie as a middle school kid, and I watched it so many times. I will not watch the remake.

Oh, I loved Footloose! Though I never though Kevin Bacon was my type, even if he could dance really well.

I haven't heard they were making these movies again. I love the Muppets though.

No need to remake Footloose, but we can always use another Muppet movie.

I love the Muppets movie; the original one mostly but they are all fun!

The muppets brought back memories of watching with the children. Love that photo Charlie, you look so comfy.. Hugs GJ xx

Beaker was my favourite character - I wanted to take him home. No. Not that. Honestly, you have a dirty mind. LOL.

RosieC said...

Oh, how did I miss that they're remaking Footloose? What were they thinking? I think that deserves a letter of complaint!

I want to be lazy like Charlie on a Friday...

Charlie looks just like my Buster, who spent 2 days in the hospital last week because he couldn't poop. It's still astonishes me that many of my family and friends didn't appreciate hearing from me after 10 o'clock in the evening when Buster had his first poop in over a week. For heaven sake, it was a big event. As for sequels, it's rumoured that next year is the year of sequels. Too sad. Footloose is a classic! What are they thinking!

I loved animal!

The muppets theme tune always puts me in a good mood!

As for footloose, I agree, I saw it again a while ago...if they remade it now they'd pretty every one up too much - the theme song was great though!

Guinevere said...

Footloose shouldn't be remade, I agree. The original version is perfect as is!

have a great weekend!

LTM said...

I was very disappointed when it *wasn't* Animal playing drums at the Grammys...

And I so agree re: Footloose remake. Nay nay nay, says the horsie~ :D scratches to Charlie! <3

Is there a new Muppet movie or is that the old one? I love the Muppets!!
I also love CHARLIE! and YOU! ((((hugs))))

Melissa Gill said...

Hard to imagine a remake of Footloose. I loved the fist one. Although not all remakes are bad. I've seen the new True Grit twice. Fabulous movie. I'm watching the original right now. It's pretty good, but I really think they did better on the new version. Charlie's looking quite relaxed there.

India Drummond said...

I absolutely agree with you on both counts!

I agree with that NAY--some things should not be remade and Footloose is one of them. GHOST would be another I think.

Have a great weekend!

'Yay' to the 'Muppets Movie' and most definitely a 'Nay' to the remake of 'Footloose'. Actually a nay to the original Footloose film! :-) And thanks a lot that flippin' Footloose song is now whiling around in my head :-)
And Charlie, Penny sends you some pawsitive wishes :-)

I really don't like it when they remake great classics like Footloose! Ahhh! They need to leave that movie alone!! No movies from the 80's (my fav movie era) should ever be touched. If they remake 16 Candles or Fast Times at Ridgemont High, I'm really gonna throw a fit!

Charlie, we love seeing you, cutie!

Susan Fields said...

I agree - the original Footloose is a classic and should be left alone! You tell 'em, Charlie!

That would be statler and waldorf. I always loved the original Sesame Street and The Muppets. Jim Henson was a hero of mine.
I don't think I ever watched footloose! :O)

I haven't seen Footloose yet, but I'm always up for a Muppets movie.

I have a blog award for you.

Cute pic of Charlie!

KarenMcG said...

I agree with you on the nay, nay to Footloose! Don't mess with the good stuff...many times the remakes don't even come near the original in appeal.

Charlie, Charlie. You look good on that side, even if it is your other evil eye.

Thanks for stopping by Kittens 'n Things.

penandpaints said...

Did they remake Footloose?, that must have passed me by, just as well, leave it alone I say! I love the 80s one, the theme tune and the song at the end.
The muppets! I used to have a Kermit the frog, oh, :( I wonder what happened to him?
Hope you've had a fab weekend! xx

Well, someone thought it worth remaking Psycho (1960 and 1998 and Nosferatu (1922 and 1979).

I suspect Footloose will survive.
