Splashed! But not blogged!

Bloggie friends!

I've been sprayed with puddle water by speeding cars all the way from the station to home while I walked in the cold, rain, wind and darkness so forgive me as I leave you with Charlie while I pour myself something suitably... erm.. medicinal.

Charlie says: I will not look.

Charlie says: Darn.

Special hugs to lovely Trish of Katnip Lounge and beautiful Carol of Ginger Jasper. Trish will be having her surgery on Tuesday, Carol - Wednesday. Charlie and I are sending you both waves of love and best wishes for speedy and safe recoveries!!

Have a blessedly dry day today everyone!

Yikes! Not nice. Sometimes I think the motorists deliberately aim for the puddles, just for a good old giggle...

We will keep both Mom's in our purrs.

OH dear splashed...that is not good.
Charlie you did the right thing.

Charlie, we caught you peeking!

But we won't tell.

Old Kitty we're so sorry you got caught in the rain...and by puddle water. That's no fun, especially when it's cold and dark. Bummer.

You know Charlie doesn't care how you look, wet or dry, he loves you. Yes, purrs to them both and all our New Zealand pals dealing with the awful earthquake too.

Yuck. Sounds like you need that, er, medicine. Have a nice evening.

I'm sorry you were splashed by speeding cars, glad it was on the way home not to work. Charlie does look concerned, doesn't he?

Oh no! A splashy, wet trip home can't be fun but at least you found your way to the computer afterwards!

Hope you poured yourself a very large something suitable medicinal. We are digging ourselves out of another snowstorm. 15inches since yesterday. I think I will pour myself a large medicinal something too! My best wishes to your friends.

I hate that when that happens. I had a very unhappy person at a meeting tonight and I came home and had a drink too, only for medicinal purposes only! LOL

PS. I'm heading over to your friends blogs now.

I hate those wet days. Even when I avoid puddles, I get splashed by them.

Charlie, please tell your mom that on rainy days, our human would bring the umbrella down to knee level in anticipation of any muddy splash when a car pass by. Well, rain is cleaner than those from muddy puddles. :)

Oh no... I hope the... umm... 'medicinal' remedy helped.

Oh, no! Was it raining yesterday? LOL. I experienced something similar getting from work to my car. Not good.

Hope you have a dryer day tomorrow!

Oh dear, that's not nice! I hope you're all dry and warm now.

Oh, I hate getting drenched by passing cars -- well, who likes it? So rude, IMO. You can tell they're not pedestrians, and so don't slow down at the "ponds" on the roads. Very aggravating! I hope your "medicinal" drink warmed you up in a hurry!

I'm sending up prayers, sending Light, to both Trish and Carol too.

That sounds like a miserable walk home! I hope Charlie took proper care of you when you arrived.

It sounds like today is a perfect day for some 'medicine'! Enjoy!

Yeesh, not good. I hope the, ahem, medicine helped!

Awww, poor Charlie! It's been cold, windy and rainy here too! Bella (my cat) has been staying indoors.

Jenn - after your journey home in the rain and splashing puddles we hope you made your "medicine" a large dose!! It certainly was a filthy day yesterday.
Charlie - you were very thoughtful to look away while your mum was taking her "medicine".

I'm sorry you had a watery day! I do hope it gets better.

I just love that spot on Charlie's back!

Have a dry day!

Tracy said...

Oh goodness Kitty...we desperately need the rain and I wouldn't complain if we got it but I do not like being splashed-my best way to sepnd a rainy day is on the courch with a good book wrapped in a blanket with a hot cup of tea or coffee...I hope you are enjoying some of that!

I've been splashed by passing cars a time or two, and I always feel a bit chagrined afterwards, as well as wet. Why does this situation make one feel like the recipient of an ill-conceived prank? Sorry about the puddles, Kitty. Have a hot drink and cuddle up with Charlie. Spring sunshine is coming soon!

Talli Roland said...

On no! Hope you cuddle up warm and cozy. I didn't even know it was raining outside! Duh.

Golden Eagle said...

That doesn't sound fun. :( Hope you got warm and cozy once you could!

Please give your friends our very best wishes too.
I think Charlie really wants to play with that hamster on the wheel on your blog. He wants to love it.
Have something strong and get dry and warm. :-) x x x

urgh...puddle water is horrible. I hope you enjoyed your "something medicinal"

Hope you're feeling loads better after being splashed like that in the dead of winter. You need a nice big cup of hot chocolate w/ extra whipped cream. Maybe Charlie will want some of that whipped cream.

Sharon K. Mayhew said...

I'm so sorry you had a rough walk home. I'm sure Charlie didn't mind you having a human drink to warm yourself up. :)

A good cat is like that :)

Oh, I hate when that happens... I always have a few choice bad words handy for just such an occasion.

Charlie's wondering why his staff keeps taking pictures of him without his authorization.
