Pleasurable treats

Bloggie friends!!

I had a very rare day off from work yesterday (Sunday), the plan being I was going to do so many, many things like go through my ironing, start with my patio planting and oooh I don’t know, write a story or five !

Instead I went out shopping, baked fig and almond muffins, stayed in bed and read - Afrika Reich (AMAZING - could not put it down!!!!) and Cassastar (Fun, fun, fun!)! LOL!

Look at this lovely purse I treated myself with!

I hope y’all had a pleasurable weekend too!

Charlie says: I had fun sitting infront of your keyboard and screen.

Four days to the weekend!!! :-)

Ha! I had a pretty lazy day myself. Your muffins sound yummy, btw.

I did manage to get some housework done. And some 'puter time.

You should teach Charlie to type. Then, you could dictate your stories into a recorder and he could type it out for you!

Tracy said...

Hahah, perhaps Charlie typed out those stories for you?
Good for you for doing something fun and spontaneous...all the 'should' things are over rated anyway!
I think the purse is adorable :)

Your new purse. Good choice. Shopping and delicious muffins too. If you lived in the US you'd have a holiday Monday too. Presidents Day. Not for me... every day is a holiday when you don't work. Ha.
Love and Peace.

Oh Charlie you look very fetching today - your furs look as though they have been freshly floofed up for your photographer.
We love Jenn's new purse - it is very pretty and hope she has lots of money to put in it. Staying in bed to read was a good choice this weekend with the weather which we feel is even worse today - it even snowed a little bit here today although it didn't settle and is just raining again now.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

Fig and almond muffins sounds incredibly healthy - were they nice and can we have the recipe if they were? I seem to have been living off chocolate, biscuits, crumpets and sliced cheese recently - all very, very unhealthy but I'm so TIRED I'm succumbing to quick sugar-fixes, so I could do with trying some healthy things that still look like cake! we did find an unopened bottle of vodka at my mum's so I I've had vodka and orange juice, does that count as fruit?!! xxxx

So glad you went out an treated yourself instead of doing all those silly chores. Bet those muffins were great. Charley you sure are looking so good.

OK!
Too bad you're not in America as it's President's Day & no work. But that's mostly for banks & government agencies.

Glad to see you reading & that's a beautiful floral purse. Are you thinking of spring?

Hi Charlie -- you're looking contemplative! :)

Hey Kitty, just came across to see how you're going. I'm so jealous of you lovely lazy Sunday. I like the sound of that book - is it an e-book or print? I scrolled down and it wasn't clear from your previous post either.

Ooh, fig and almond muffins - save me! What a clever kitty! And the purse is so sweet.

I hope Charlie got some writing done for you!

Denise:)
